Default Selling mustang...

I was thinking about selling my mustang. So I can get a cobra......yeah!! ohh I want it sooo bad but is it worth it. What should I do? Take out a loan and then private sell my stang?? What do you think I can sell my mustang for?? It’s a 2000 mustang gt convertible auto with 27,000 on it. It was a Florida car and now it’s an Ohio car. It never saw any Ohio snow. Do you think I can sell it for 18,000? The cobra that I am looking at is a 1996 MYSTIC cobra... soo nice. It has about 20k on it and its selling it for 17,000. What should I do guys??

Wow homie. Those are some big *** prices you are throwing out there. 17k for a 10 year old cobra? umm no. For a 01 with 20000 miles yea, but not for a 96.

Have you thought about looking how much they are worth???? The cobras worth 12.4k in perfect condition.

I think you could get 18,000 for you car. In monoply money.

Id say 15k in real money if you are lucky.

Sorry if i sound like a dick, but those prices are insane.

I payed 14k for my 03 gt with 28k on the clock. Mine is fully loaded too, leather, mach 1000. I don't see you getting 17 grand for it no offense, but try it, you never know, people are stupid. And that does seem like alot of money for the cobra.

If you can afford it I would go for an 03 Cobra. Paying 17G's for a 96 Cobra is a bit too steep IMO.

Think about this one. You could get a PERFECT 96-98 cobra for 12-14. It sounds like you car is in excellent condition. If you can sell it for more than 15k-16k, let it go right then. Thats quite a deal for you. Then you could get a cobra and and maybe still have enough $$$ for a S/C for the new cobra!!!!!

i bought my 2004 mustang gt for 17,900. and when you are trading it in for a cobra that is ten years older and maybe 20 more hp then you are crazy. if you want a mystic pay the 2 grand and get a paint job. and a 2001 will last a lot longer than the 96. plus the tranny on that cobra is only a five speed.

I'm not sure about this one, but I gotta think insurance is alot more due to the mystichrome. If you get into a little fender bender, the paint can't be cheap.

I'd say go for a well maintained 96-98 cobra. Im very pleased with mine, i love the S95 body style cobras. Plus, you can say you have a cobra instead of the GT's.

HUH? 20hp? Try 45.

And why should the tranny NOT be a 5speed?

And why will a 96 not last? They are not any harder to keep up then a 99+ GT.

I dont get your argument.
