Default Transmission Cooler

Any suggestions on a transmission cooler? I want to order one, would like to know what direction to go in.

Any input would be great, thanks!

Not to Hi-jack the thread but..

When upgrading Tranny coolers, is it best to keep the volume close to stock levels, or go big?? Since I've got the upgraded tranny and shiftkit, I want to prolong my investment as much as possible..

Also, when it comes to mounting, would you guys just stick it out in front of the Radiator, or put it somewhere like say, where the foglight housing goes?? I don't use my foglights, they're useless...

Get the biggest one that you can!!! I have one and got it from summit, just cant remember what one it is but it was one of the biggest that they had. I just had it installed in from of the radiator and it works great, keeps trans temps down good.

Now if I go bigger, obviously that means that I'm going to have to add more fluid.. Does it effect shifting at all, as in, does it slow shifting, or does it make them faster??

No It will not affect the operation of the transmission at all, It will just make sure that it stays cool and by keeping it cooler the longer it will last. I also suggest that when you install one on your car use Royal Purple transmission fluid, that is what I have in mine!!!

I feel like I should have asked this before, but..

W/ aftermarket Radiators, such as a Fluidyne, or something like that, do they have the built in cooler like stock?? If so, wouldn't it also be just as good w/ one of those instead of an additional external??

I figure it'd make a lot of sense, since it's got a lot of area, and more help from the fan.. The only thing I'd be worried about is the heat soaking from the coolant...
