Default Clunk Clunk From Transmission????

Hope this isnt a sign of something bad.

Last saurday, i was driving and turned left onto a road and shifted into 3rd like always.

Car started studdering and clunking, not just a sound, but the whole car was siezing, and not feeling like it was in gear.
so i shifted down to second and it did the same thing..... so i coasted for a second in nuetral before trying 3rd again and it was fine

hadnt done it for about six or so days until it did it again yesterday

same thing, clunk clunk and it was as if the car wasnt going into gear and was knocking really bad

did it twice today, (it only does it like, once and then its gone)

someone tell me what could be happening,, my gut instinct tells me it could potentially be something bad for my transmission

any experiance with this?
(do not say iac, its not hesitating, its clunking)

ummm what gave you a clue it's something 'bad' with your tranny?? J/K, could have the bands in the tranny going out or synchros are bitting the dust. When was the last time you flushed out the tranny fluid in the tranny AND converter. Start there, if that doesn't fix it, you're looking at a rebuilt/new tranny.

Sounds like your differential gears, broken tooth, ring or pinion. The clue was "turning the corner" that puts a strain on a hurting rear diff, shuddering and clunking. It's your rear.

well, strangely enough, the other time was after taking a corner,, maybe its something i should look into

would that explain maybe, slight lump (like a smaller surge) feeling at certain speeds occasionally?

well, i guess im glad to hear that nobody else has incurred problems like this...

i was driving tonight, and i think i have isolated the occurances

if i am at a low enough rpm in every gear from i believe 3-5 and i give it just enough gas, i get this chunk chunk hesitation jerking crap that im trying to explain

almost like its grabbing, and ungrabbing (even though i know the car is in gear)
i have no problem getting the car into gear

so would you guys think tranny? or differential?
