Most go to an air box that has a dip in it and a small weep hole in the bottom enough to let water out. It all depends on how you rig it.

The shaker assembly attaches to the stock air box, about 3/4 of the way up... so any water that is going in there won't drip on the air filter (a little may, but it's not a big deal), the water just drips down around to the bottom of the air box, and out.

Edit: I know this is the CDC scoop, but the factory mach scoop works pretty much the exact same way.

alright so when i make this itll go straight across the bottom of the hood weather stripping with seal as good as it can but if i throw in some holes in the passage it should let most of the water out? is that what u guys are tellin me?

Not nescicarily in the passage, but in the bottom of the air box (find the lowest point cuz thats were the majority of the water is gonna go). Or you could put a dip in the passage and then put a small hole in it witha drain tube. so ya

When you remove the scoop be sure to seal its edges well again, because the factory seal doesn't keep water out (I know my scoop has to hold gallons of water after I wash it, frustrating [:@]).

If you put too many holes in your air passage to let the water out, you'll be sacrificing some of the ram air ability... Just put a dip in the passage way (it won't effect air flow too much) and put a weep hole in the bottom of the dip. The water will get trapped there and drip out.
