In a bind...bad situation
So how about I dented one of my chrome dd bullitts, and was offered 400 for the set locally. I thought, well no big deal, I need new tires anyway, put the car on jackstands in the garage and placed an order for a new set of rims from mustangtuning.com after selling the rims. I was informed today that the 10.5s are out of stock until the end of may. So I have a car with no rims sitting on jackstands. Not good. And kind of stupid on my part. [:@]

I might go to 18s i guess. If I can figure out what size tires will get me close to stock height.
I'm just bummin hardcore right now.

RE: In a bind...bad situation
For those of you who are tire wizards....stock size is 245/45-17 as we all know, and when most people go to 18s, they go with a 295/35-18 in back. Basically that boils down to the 17 doing 785 revolutions per mile, whereas the 18 does 772 per mile. So when your speedo reads 60, you'll actually be driving 61mph. So does that mean you are putting more miles on your car then you actually are? or would that be less? Hurts my brain to even think about this.

hey dude you are in a similar boat as me. My trans is out and my oil pan is 1/2 on, and right now I'm waiting for a few things (tools and parts) and my car is just sitting there. I totally know how it is to have a car sitting and have nothing happening... blows big time and now I'm driving my mom's 95 infintiy G20... total import car lol
and you would be putting a few more miles on your car than you are reading, but it's not much to worry about.
