the +1 means "i agree" or something along those lines...and you don't lose power by going with a too large diamter exhaust, it just pushes your powerband up, you still gain power, but it's just higher in the rpm's.

Mine has 3" exhaust. I didnt put it on there though. The lady that owned it before me did it. She also put on MagnaFlow exhaust which I am not fond of. But it has a decent sound. Power wise I couldnt tell you cause this is the first Mustang I have ever owned. The only thing that was done right was the fact that it is all stainless steel.
I would also like to add that 3" exhaust hits the chasis and makes an annoying knocking noise on bumpy Louisiana roads. I had the dealership heat the pipes up and try to bend them. It helped but didnt solve the problem totally.

can you order a cat back with 3 in for the gt?? i have never seen one. but you can get the 3 in tips or 3 1/2 tips if you want. but there would not be enough backpressure with 3in pipes
