Default Well i found this car.

i was lookin' for someone to do an even trade for my bike and i came across this salvage title 4.6 is straight it drives.but here's the deal the cars got vortech supercharger and its running pretty funny.its super rich and has nooo power.I see the hose that goes from the blow off isn't hooked up into the intake where its supposed to go.looking through the car i found a diablo sport chip in the glove and it still has the tag u need to pull to intall the chip.i think the car looks good n the interior is clean the dash read 63,000 and the clutch is a perfomance unit the big injectors r there i can see a lot of new sensors on the motor and it starts right up.I guess my main question is could the chip have the tune on it for the supercharger from what i understand the chips have a number on em or something?and what else should i check for in a car with a supercharger?

What year is the car?....I personally would never buy a salvage title car unless I know exactly what happened to it

sounds like maybe the guy put a crappy box tune on it to make sure he didn't hurt anything. It's just an idea but if you know anyone at a local performance shop you might be able to ask them to check it out with you and take it for a test drive in return for having it tuned at his shop (since it sounds like it needs it). That is the kind of thing some of the guys around here would go for since it benefits everyone. Good luck.

Well i got the car running bad ***.the superchips chip had fallen out.i put it on there it started up took it for a spin and its all good.it needs new oil bad its soaked with gas.It needs new plugs to but it just spins tire i was impressed. i found a dyno sheet that put the car at 318hp and 347 fttq.but i was just taking it around the block so theres still realy no telling on how long it'll last.the car was wrecked from the back end.i like the car and from what i can tell as of now is that i needs a basic tune up and a new throw out bearing.the supercharger may need rebuilding cuz there is some oil in the intake tubing on the part goin' into the turbine inlet.
