Default mustang got hit

I just got into an accident yesterday > It was blatantly the other drivers fault because I was just driving straight in a plaza going 10mph and she turned and hit my rear driver's quarter panel. She said "I looked both ways I don't know where you came from." I can't understand how you can just miss a car like that but we'll go with it. I'm still waiting on the other person's insurance to call me to verify that they are going to pay for my damages. Should I worry about them not covering my stuff?

No it wasn't a parking lot I was on a straight road. The girl that hit me was turning left from her work's parking lot. Supposedly she looked both ways and didn't see me. Maybe my car has chameleon paint job I never noticed [&:]

you have no idea how many near misses ive had with that exact situation. people just come whipping around corners out of parking without any concern. some lady actually flipped out at me (from inside her car) because i almost (and should have) hit here as i was driving down a side road and she came darting out like i wasnt there. quarter panels are a big job, hopefully they cover it. looking at around 1500$ at least to replace it.

Parking lots are THE MOST DANGEROUS place i think to be driving a nice car.
Not only is it in danger when its just sitting in a parking spot due to inconsiderate door openers, but also shopping carts and what not.

Driving in them though is what scares me, people from around here think a parking lot is a drag strip between the rows of parked cars. They either fly up and down them, turn the wrong directon in the angle parking lots and go the wrong way, or just freaking fly diagnoly across the lanes figuring hey, they'll stop so i dont have to.

its insane

Wouldn't the body shop just pop the dent out and bondo it up? I mean the damage is pretty deep but don't they try to salvage it unless it's not repairable instead of just replacing?

If its deep then the structural stability of the quarter panel could be comprimised if it is just popped out. They'll probably just replace it. They get more money from insurance doing it that way.
