And I know it's been covered in great length, but you gotta figure that Ford gave the Stang Traction Control because not everyone who drives one, can ably handle their car....

I'm a proponent for it, but mine is always off... I just don't like driving it in bad weather, not because of my skills behind the wheel, but of those around me....

Hmm, sorry to hear that... Must've been optional... Just use your right foot as your Traction Control then...

I leave TC off for the most part, but at the first sign of bad conditions it goes back on

There was a sieres of very tight turns at my buddies college back in the day. With the traction control on you could just floor it and hit the corners, and it would nanny control you right thru the turns. Sometimes it seems pretty cool.

I remember back when I was test driving 2003 Mustang GTs and knew nothing about traction control. I was at an intersection coming off the highway in St. Robert, MO and decided to test out the acceleration and the tires adhesion limits . I romped on the gas and it spun for a split second then bogged down. I took the car back to the salesman and told him that the car was crap. He then told me about the traction control feature. I felt kinda dumb afterward.

I guess it can be used as a safety device for overzealous test drivers too [8D].
