i cant sujest headers for a saleen or for a 4.6 since i dont own one anymore since mine got totaled but when i wanted to put headers on my 2000 gt i wanted to put on frpp shorties but then i found out you have to lift the engine just to put them on and asked my boss since he owned a shop and asked how long would it take and he said about 4 hours. so if thats true that will be costly for insalation depending on labor rates. where i live there about 70.00- 80.00 an hour. so maybe 250.00 to 400.00 just to install but if your mechanics anything like my old boss. he would charge a flat rate just to take out an engine and put it in plus then you got the instalation of the headers.

600.00 sounds a little steep. should only be about 4 hours of labor. i would shop around a little and try to get a better price. but if moneys no object than by all means go for it but if you want to save some money i would look around for a better deal. even if it turned out to be 6 hours of labor. the guys a thief if he charges a 100.00 a hour. but if you do go for long tube headers then your have to go get a short h-pipe or a short x- pipe. 150.00 is about right on the instalation of gears. i hear its about 2 hours of labor. but again shop around for a better deal.
