I was wondering how can I tell if my stang has a shift kit.I bought I used Its an automatic.I had brought It to the dealer and they kept asking me If it had a shift kit.I will chirp in every gear.I would love to know If the former owner Is on this forum too.just want to ask what else he did to the car.I live in nj and got the car from fullerton ford.just wondering

You can tell right off the bat if a car has a shift kit in it. I'm sure you've driven cars before the stang, and the stock valve body on the stangs is set for comfortable shifting. If you are driving and the car throws you in your seat between first and second, then it either has gears or a shift kit, or both. Pretty much the only way to tell is drive a stock one vs. a stang with mods done to the tranny.

yeah if your chriping thru the gears then im 90% sure you have a shift kit
