Compression Problem...
I checked my compression on my 98 GT using the dial compression tester... the good news is I had consistant pressures... the bad news is the driver side had way higher compression than the passenger side. All cylinders on the drivers side measured about 180 PSI compression, but all the cylinders on the passenger side measured ~150 PSI. My hypothesis is that the previous owner of my car only installed PI heads on the driver side and left the passenger side untouched. Another thing that makes me think this is true is that on the passenger side, two of the spark plugs were different and clearly older than the other 6.
Has anybody heard of somebody only putting PI heads on one side?

i said if the previous owner did that he must be a moron. who only does half a pi swap?
I don't know... perhaps i should restate my question as the only reply i have received thus far merely questions the intelligence of a man i have never met...
Is it possible to only put 1 PI head on a non-PI stang?

i dont know jack crap about compressino ratios, and what causes them to raise or lower or anything
but i have a strong feeling the dude before you didnt do a 'half pi swap'
(and ignore rbstang, he's frustrated he cant change an fuel filter or fix his H pipe problem)

you could have a little bit of slop on the timing chain on the side with the lower compression because if your valves aren't timed just right that will cause problems.
do you have a running problem, like what's the car doin
