We talk about speed demons and being as fast as hell, well how much HP do you need before you can be considerd fast? Not normal fast, quick accel and racer speed....

IMO 400 or greater flywheel hp.

Although, numbers don't mean jack without good suspension and tires.

Very true... But I don't see fast as having high hp numbers... I think more along the lines of timeslips..

For this forum, 12s seems to be the number.

But at any track.....11s and below seem to be the number for a respected car.

To some extent you dont but to get below 11s you do need horsepower as well as a good driver, and a great suspension.

You do need horsepower....but weight reduction, a great suspension, and some sticky tires can go a long way.

As far as numbers... When I start to see the 500-600 RWHP range my eyes start opening real wide.
