Drag radials and stock clutch ????
Im going to be going to Cecil County Dragstrip tomorrow and i bought some BF goodrich dragradials for my GT. I plan to launch these at 15-18lbs and around 3000rpm, possibly a little higher... My car has 41000 miles and has had a pretty easy life ( i dont get on it a lot, no powershifting). I have the stock clutch in the T-45 trans and have no problems now. I have ran a 13.4 with a 2.1 60' ... With these tires and possibly a better 60' what is a estimate on what may happen and what times can be acheived?? If my luck works out, i plan on getting around 3 runs within 3-4 hours with cooling in between. let me know what you guys think!!!

I think you should probably be ok with the stock clutch for awhile. Probably will tear it up eventually but i don't think you will break it this weekend.
BTW, be careful with the stock rearend and those drag radials, I have heard of them breaking a axle or two with a real hard launch.

not very mods for a 13.4 ESPECIALLY on a 2.1 60', must be one hell of a low elevation track
with a better 60', if a 13.4 really happened, then you could touch 13 flat

from what i have heard it is a decent track........its in Maryland for anyone who may want to know but this is how the timeslip went:
r/t .451
60' 2.12
330 5.76
1/8 8.76
mph 82.49
1000 11.33
1/4 13.49
mph 105
And the return lane and the slowing section of the track are horrible, but its at a low elevation. And this is just one of the timeslips i have many that say almost the same thing. I would like to get into the 12's with just maybe cams and suspension besides my other mods.... possibly

I think you guys don't give enough credit to the stock rear end, it's not a GM 10 bolt you know. The BFG is a good tire, but it's still a radial and will not hook near as hard as a slick, the tire should spin before the axels break. *disclaimer* I am not saying you have no chance of breaking an axel, just a small chance.
