i have a 1998 GT and i wanna know what would be better 4.10 or 3.73s I have a 5spd tranny but I heard that if you get 4.10s you will be maxed out at like 90 on the highway please help?

ive got 3.73,s and tach is about 3200 at 70mph in fith gear

whoever told you that is stupid, you can go well over 100 with 4.10's

I have a 98 gt with a 5 speed and i just got 373. I would never get the 410's, 373'S are purfect. If I had 410 my exhaust would drive me crazy. I can go about 70 at 2300 any more and my exaust starts to drone. The only reason I would have 410 is to drag race.

I could still peg my speedo with 4.10's... I have the pic to prove it....

you wont get to over 65mph with 410s and first thru third actually will be geared so low, you will go backwards....where do people come up with this stuff?

heres a rule of thumb........if someone says "4.10's suck beacuse........" its more than likely BS. 4.10's do not drastically reduce gas mileage, you will never "run out of gear" (well at least normal ppl, keep it under 140 guys) you dont loose top end, there is an infinate number of 4.10 myths and 99.9999% of the time, some moron who doesnt know his @ss from a hole in the ground is making stuff up.....just a rule of thumb
