Default 4.6 stroker

ok, im not planning on buying this. It is actually a "just in case" kind of thing. the just in case is: In case I burn my pistons up on the nitrous (which isnt all the likely on a tuned 100 shot, but ya never know.)

anyway, the kit is high compression, and comes with a new crank (forged I assume) and all forged rods and pistons.

so, my question is, are there any supporting mods I would need for this kit if I get it? are head P/P and cams needed before you can do a stroker (and is valve clearance a problem with both cams and stroker kits?) also, just for kicks, if I do go forged high compression stroker, how much of a shot can I run? probably over 150 easily right? maybe even 200 if everything is forged? (gotta do major suspension before that tho)

you dont need anything else. and you will get about a 13-14% horsepower increase because your increaseing your engine 13-14%. I dont feel liek doing the math. but if ported heads and cams would add 35-40 hp on a 4.6 now they add 45-55hp on a 5.0

ok, thats all I really needed to know. And then if I go with the high compression pistons thats even more power.... so now im not so affraid of burning my pistons up on juice

so, with the stroker kit, everything inside would be forged. how do the blocks stand up to that kind of power? Im assuming with those forged parts I could shoot around 200 through there, but ive heard alot of guys say the blocks are weak.

easy fix. pick up a 98 cobra aluminum block and that way you dont have to worry about the block giving out youll take off 80lbs off the front end of the car. and you can build the motor w/o having to take your stang out of commision

lol, im talking repairs here. Im too poor (college kid) to start building a high performance motor. I just want to konw a better option than replacing the whole motor IF i blow something with the nitrous, and it seems like a stroker kit is the best way to go.

yeah, i actually figure im pretty safe with the 100 shot. Im having the car tuned professionally in a couple weeks to be sure (and to get the most out of it) but now I know just in case. Thanks
