Default Help with Exhaust?

Hey guy,
I'm new here and needed some advice on exhaust sytems. I have a 2000 GT that is bone stock right now. I've been around high performance cars all my life but I am new to Mustangs though. My questions is that I love the sound of the stock GT's and I have a 2000 Z71 Chevrolet that I would love to be able to get that same sound from. I'm going to start doing alittle work to the car alittle along but I wanted to keep my truck stock and not very loud. I hear guys with pickups all the time that have dual exhaust on them and they just don't have that mustang sound. What can I do to make my truck sound like the stock GT's? The truck has the 5.3L v-8 by the way. I don't want this truck loud at all....just mellow.

Thanks:
Jason

It can't be done. The mustang is a true duels exhaust, and your truck is a catback duel exhaust. Also, the truck is longer than the mustang, so that will also change the sounds of the exhaust. Hate to be the one to tell you, but your truck will never have the mustang sound.

It's the difference between the heads on each vehicle.
