How to add power to a 2004 GT
I just got my 04 Mustang GT a couple weeks ago. It's got a 5-speed, and the only mod I've done so far is putting in the K&N air filter. What other mods would you guys suggest first to give the car some serous power?

The only way you are going to make serious power is to add a power adder, such as Nitrous or a supercharger. As far as some mods to give the car a power gain. Go with a X-pipe and cat back system, underdrive pullies, timing adjuster, and a nice cold air setup. The only thing I have done is a Magnaflow catted x-pipe and magnapack catback. Sounds really nice and gave a nice gain through out the powerband, I plan on dynoing in the next month or two, and should see somewhere in the neighborhood of 240RWHP, i am hoping to see 245, which isn't that far off if I am conserative with HP gains from my mods.

As much as I hate nitrous it is cheaper than a head swap. They way the question is posed it as cheap quick power. I know there are head swap kits, I know headers....blah blah blah. I consider serious power adding more than 50hp at a whack.

Isn't nitrous pretty hard on the engine?

Do they even make many aftermarket parts for 04s yet? All I'm seeing in most places are parts for up to 03s and that's it

That's because they haven't updated their websites to include 04 yet.
