exhaust sounds weird
My exhaust sounds weird every once in a while since it started to get warmer out. It makes a high pitch noise at around 1900-2200 rpm's and it starting to do it more. It used to do it right before i put my car away for the winter but then when i took it out it was fine until now and its really pissin me off![:@] Anyone know what it might be?

What kind of exhaust do you have on there and how long?
I remember when I got my 97GT it started making a similiar noise around the same rpm's. Easy fix for me though, got rid of the stock set up.

one of the fittings might be loose, or an exhaust hanger can be squeeking, or the pipes can be rubbing on something. my one pipe was rubbing on my gas tank cover and it made a high pitched squeeking noise when i ripped on it.

i dont know why man, are you sure it is the exhaust making the noise. what i did was go under the car and shake the living **** out of my exhaust, that is how i found out where the noise is coming from.

when I took it out tonight like 10 minutes ago it didn't do it. And its like 10 degrees colder out then it was when it was making it. And it was't just one time it was doing it , it was all day today until it cooled down some...so I have no idea. I'll see if it is still doing it tomarrow.

My bumper makes a resonating sound at about those rpm's until it gets warmed up, unless it's above like 50 outside. Another thing is it could be one of the baffels coming loose is the muffler, a buddies did and it sounded weird at certain rpms.

I just don't get how it would only do it when its above like 70 out though? I don't know i'm going to try it again tomarrow and if its still doing it ill crawl under there and see whats going on.
