Default stage 1 or stage 2 cams

ok, i found the website for vt cams (lol) anyways i want performance + a really good idle sound, so should I go with stage 1 or stage 2. also if i go with stage 2, what will i need and how is drivability. sorry to be a pain in the *** and ask all these questions. thanks for all your input

well, maybe i shouldnt reply as i dont have stage 2s. but you will need valve springs if yours are just stock, and a tuna. The thing with stage 2s is they make nice power, but it seems like they make real nice power above where you should spin a stock 2v's basement. Calling Code3Gt for input.

2000GT4.6 had good insight on this not too long ago. Basically I believe he said.. by the time its all said and done, he would never have done it. Due to the fact the a stock 4.6 can not rev high enough to see any gains.

i should get my car back on saturday, i will try to post a clip of the exhaust note and idle. I have heard that it shoudl be lopey, but i am not optimistic as it being the way i want it (at least at idle).

they sound great. you will definantly notice them.

You will not see the FULL potential of stage 2 cams since you do not have a built bottom end. Stage 2s are made to make peak power around 6200-6500rpm which you can not reach with stock engine.

also get a tb/plenum for the cams it will help alot.

yea, im gettin 75mm t/b, plenium, pullies, cams, headers, o/r x-pipe, and a tuner. so i am ordering all the stuff (gonna take me 3 months of saving) and have it put on all at once.
