Default Lacking Power Still?

Yea its me again. I have a 99 GT auto and it doesn't have the power like it should, it hesitates when you stop the gas then barely moves, well its still sorta quick but not like it should be. I have a new fuel filter to put on it so hopefully that will be the problem, and I plan on replacing the mid-pipe and cat-back. So if the catalytic converters are clogged that would fix that but there not rattling or getting overly hot. I also am going to check into the intake even though when I put my VIN # in on the manifold recall site it doesn't come up with anything. Anyone else have any ideas that I didn't cover?

Get a hand-held tuner and adjust your shift points.
Get FRPP 4.10 Gears
Get a nice Catback w/ Mid-pipe. Headers if you want to go all out.

I don't mean to make this sound like you HAVE to get these items...it will just help you and make your car feel/sound better.

Havent tried plugs yet. It has 45,000 miles so I didn't think they needed changing yet but I guess so. The site was like manifoldsettlement something. I can't remember its gone now.

I already have a programmer installed (didn't mess with shift points though just firmness and performance tune put on), and the mid pipe and cat-back are coming soon. I may go with 3:73 before 4:10's because I want some gas mileage still.

Definitely go with the fuel filter FIRST. It's the least expensive option and may be the source of the problem. Mine was acting sluggish a while back and I changed the fuel filter and the car woke up. The fuel filter is a dirty beast after a while. Fuel is dirty.
