driver power seat doesnt work
i was cleaning my car and i put the driver seat all the way up so i could vacuum underneath it. well i went to move the seat back and now it doesnt have any power. the lumbar support ia also not working. i looked in the ford manual and i couldnt find the right fuse to replace so i started removing the fuses to see which one was blown. i found the one in the high current fues panel and it is the L. Spd. EDF Mtr. fuse that is blown. the book says it needs a 10 amp fuse but there was a 25 amp fuse in their. so i tried to put a 20 amp fuse in there and it just blew. so then i tried to put a 30 amp fuse in their and again it blew. those are the only fuses i had so i dont know if i should buy a 10 amp or 25 amp? do i have the right fuse? i need to get this fixed because the seat is as close to the steering wheel as it can get
thanks

RE: driver power seat doesnt work
AJ,
Look under the seat. There is a hole in the floor that the small wire 'bundle' goes through. They commonlly chafe the wire through and will short out right there. It is sometimes hard to see, but look on the back side of the wire.
Hope this helps,
Troy
