Default cleaning engine

Hey
I have a 96 gt and i want to clean the engine i bought some gunk engine cleaner is that stuff any good? it says on it that you must cover up all eletrical componets before spraying it on what should i cover before i use it because i dont want to fry any of the eletrical parts

spray it on the block, take a brush of some sort and clean.

If you want to clean plastic/rubber engine components, then use a towel and some armor all

I have a 2002 and in the owners manual, it has a diagram in the mainanance section i think that shows what parts you should cover up. I would assume that your manual would have it too.
