BTW, what 'tune' are you using? Did someone make you a tune and you loaded it via-handheld without a dyno run?

They can sometimes be perfect and othertimes be absolutely terrible. Also if you are just using a run of the mill hand-held tune, no wonder you are slower than you'd expect.

First, you need a REAL tune, you are just playing with fire by doing what you are doing with a cammed & improperly tuned car. 2nd, if you aren't spinning past the 60' mark, you are sucking on your shifts.

+1

A tune is pretty important for a camd 4.6. I was way down on power even after a "custom" tune (a ****ty one). The car was making like 240 RWHP after the cam install before the tune. Made 280 RWHP afterwards and there was a little more on the table.

The 60' times are telling the story though. Its all your launch man, whatever your doing is not working. Any suspension work?

You REALLY need to hit a dyno and check the a/f ratio. This is cheap insurance, should be easily below 100 bucks and then you will know what is going on.

You always need to get on a dyno and check. I've seen a lot of people on another website go with a mail-order tune like this and it's either dead on and completely off, all cars respond differently to modifications, which is why it's always incredibly important to get on a dyno and check it.

IMO, these tunes you can order, should only be for a baseline run after a large list of modifications are added, to atleast safely get you through 1 or 2 pulls on the dyno.
