Default How much can the bottom end of a 96-98 Cobra take?

Hey guys I was just wondering how much horsepower and how much torque the bottom end of a 4.6 in a 96-98 Cobra can take. The 03' Cobra can handle 900hp easily and still be daily driven as proven by Diablosport. I was wondering if the bottom end of the 96-98 Could do the same thing or something close at least.

The reason why I am asking is because I want to install a Twin Turbo kit on the Cobra when I get one after I sell my V6. How long do you think the engine can take the abuse at high power levels? My minimal goal is 600hp. Has anyone proven exactly how much the engine can take yet? I need hard facts and not speculations. If it seems that the strengths of the block are too close or under my power goals then I will invest in a rebuild in the bottom end, it is always best to be stronger then needed.

I was also wondering how much the stock valvetrain can handle, how many rpms before valve float takes place and how much lift it can take. I plan to swap the heads but I just want to know for reference. Also, what are the longest rockers I can use without needing to modify anything? And what is stock so I can compair? Its 7 or 7.3" isnt it?

Thanks Everyone.

post this in the svt section! but no, they only come with a forged crank....the rods and pistons are not very strong. how much they can take, depends on your tune. personally i was running 460rwhp with no problems at all, and I know a few poeple in the 500rwhp, and even 1 in the 600rwhp. alot of people will tell you that after 450hp, you are running on barrowed time, but my motor was supercharged for 4 years, and never had a problem.
