Default WARRENTY QUESTION!!!

hey guys i knw this is mustangforums and stuff but this thread from stangnet got me thinking...

read what he wrote, he said he got his quarterpanal painted when it was under warrenty because it was underneath the clearcoat...my car is under warrenty and i have a scratch in my front bumper that is pretty good, could i get my bumper painted for free under the warrenty?

Is the scratch under the clearcoat? Was it noted when you bought the car? If you answered yes to both, then definitely. No to the first question, I think you're out of luck. Yes to #1 and no to #2 you still have a chance.

idk, if i was the warrenty guy for a dealership, and someone wanted to get a panel painted because of a scratch, i would tell them to get off my lot.

maybe if you just got a new car and didnt even drive it off the lot, and found a scratch that was under the clearcoat, then maybe i can see them doing that.

well if you always bring your vehicle to service for everything and have a good relationship with your service manager and there is a body shop at the dealership... they might fix the scratch for you... maybe... worth a shot I guess.
