Those dots at the top of the window are called Dot Matrix. The reason why most normal tint wont stick to the window is because it is made of a different surface then the other part of the window. Your two options for this is to either get a vinyl strip to cover it or get this stuff called Magoops that is used as an adhesive for the tint to stick where the dot matrix is.

If the shop had half a brain, they would have sanded the dot matrix just a little bit and spent a little more time than usual getting it to stick.

Just get a piece of vinyl to cover it.

I have tinted windows for a while and to tell u the truth every car comes out different with the dot matrix. if u would want them to tint the top strip they would have to retint the whole back window if u wanted it to look halfway decient. wht they neen to do is take a glue stick (blue one) and rub it across the dot matrix before aplying the window tint this helps the tint fall in between the dot matrix. the only other option i to do the vinyl

my back window is tinted all the way up and is fine. the tint shop lightly sanded the bubbles so the tint would stick. may help to light sand and clean before tint.

What does it cost to get tints done? Back window, two little sides windows and two door windows? I was thinking two and a half bills?

Uhh...7 months later...I'm sure the guy took care of the issue.
