the service engine soon light came on im my car today. i have an 01 gt. the code wasP0308. i went to get it scanned and it said that cylinder 8 was misfiring. what could be the problem. i am going to check the plugs and the coils. does anyone know what cylinder is eight. if anyone has a diagram it would be much appreciated. thanks

 

could be time for new spark plugs....


also check for spark in #8 could be a bad coilpack

ha you have already said your gunna check them.....

#8 will be the one closest to the firewall on the drivers side

 

I suggest buying a Haynes manual.
Great for wiring diagrams and has all Torque specs
as well as OBDI/OBDII code references.
They are well worth $17.00

Also put a can of Greased Lightning Fuel Cleaner(it's awesome)
there could be carbon deposits that got to the plug!

P0308 Cylinder 8 Misfire Detected

Check the plugs, plug boots and ingnition system.

Go to pepboys and get yourself an ODB II scantron so you can turn it off after you fix it.
