Tire 1

Tire 2

How about reading some proffessional reviews on how well the tires perform and then reading a good amount of user reviews to see what other people thought. There are plenty of good sources on the net that have done great performance testing on a wide range of tires.

Might be a better idea than buying tires based off what tread pattern looks "cool".
Lets put it this way. If tire 1 is say 9.0 out of 10 and tire 2 is 8.0 out of 10, i'm going with tire 2. I don't care how good they are, if they look gay i'm not putting them on. If you're gonna be a d*ck about it, it's professional. One "f". I want something that's good even when it's raining out or wet. Jesus....such a negative bunch lately.

i'm glad you said that, i thought i was the only one that thinks this forum is changing. it's pissing me off. this used to be such a good place to get info and help...now people just yell at eachother and talking about what beats what, or new pics of the car. there's not much tech conversations that go on anymore...almost makes me wanna look for another good forum to join and leave this one in the dust

I agree. This is not a place to compete or fight.....the place for that is on the steet. Anyway, this thread like all others is to provide an opportunity to post a question or thought/idea and have it answered by knowlegable Stang owners...............so to get back to the tire question...
I have 265/35 and 295/35 BfGoddrich KDW 2's mounted on 18 by 9 and 18 by 10 chrome deep dish bullitts. I ordered the tires from www.tirerack.com and they cost:
265/35/18 - $194.00/each
295/35/18 - $229.00/each
..My total was $921.88 with shipping and everything and they arrived at my door in about 3 days. The tires are the best I have ever owned. Great traction for cornering in wet/dry conditions. Launch is good too. The tread is also great looking. Fits the stang awsome.
I am going autocrossing this weekend so I will let you know how they handle on the track.

Nobody was being a dick, no need to start whining. There are far too many people these days that make purchases based on form over function. They don't care how well something works, don't care how cheap or crappy the product is, and could care less if it's just a waste of money. Form over function is the theme lately, which is what my post was derived from. If your willing to trade tread wear, traction, handling, etc... for a tread pattern that looks "cool" but the tire doesn't perform as well as another that is similar in price...then your no exception to that statement. There is no being a ******** about it, I was suggesting to read some reviews to get a better bang for your buck...an educated decision performance wise. Take it or leave it, there is no need to whine about it or make pathetic attempts to justify your purchase decision.

As far as the forum goes, I completely agree. Although, it's not that people are being ******...it's that the forum is plaged with nonsense questions about gears, which car is faster, photo shoots, and questions that are so basic it's rediculous. It gets aggrevating sorting through the BS posts trying to find one that can spark an intelligent conversation. So, take a deep breath, relax...and think about how cool everyone's going to think you look with a cool tread pattern on your tires.

I got the bfgoodrick KDW tires, and i really like mine. I called around to like 2 different local tire stores and got them in matching war. I ended up getting mine for 680, mount balanced, out the door. I thought i got a good deal. No complaints though for my tire, heres a pic of the tread
