Default RE: fuel pump?

Oh yeah, do like djdalfaro said and check the fuel pump shut off switch. I tested mine by first ensuring the button was pushed in. If it wasn't I pushed it in.

Do yourself a favor. Have someone get behind your vehicle and put their head down by the fuel tank. Then you turn the ingition to on but don't try to start the car. He or she should hear a "hiss" for a second or two. This means that your fuel pump has powered on. If you don't hear a hiss, it could possibly be your pump shutoff switch or a Passive Anti-theft System (PATS) problem. Your THEFT light isn't flashing is it?

Default RE: fuel pump?

I had a similar thing happen to me.. My car was running great, I was low on gas, I kicked the *** end out, and parked the car.. Car wouldn't start afterwards, and fuel pump had sucked up some nasties that were settled at the bottom of the tank, in large quantities...

Don't know exactly about your issue, but it sounds similar...

Have someone else open your filler door, and pop the cap off, and have them listen, after you fire off the ignition. They should hear an audible whizzing sound, that's IF the fuel pump is getting power/priming the system..

If they/you don't hear it, then you can figure between 3 Things: Fuel pump fuse, CCRM or the Fuel Pump... The first 2 are easy fixes.. The last, not so fun..
