Default helpppp!!!!!

well yea the other day i was driving and there was this state trooper... the reason why i said that is because i have a BBk o/r H and LM1's... so when i passed him he pulled me over saying i had excessive noise coming from my exhaust so he looked under my car and said you have no catalytic converters and i was like oo i had no clue... so when he gave me the ticket he said i had 15 days to fix the problem so i can get the tickets dismissed.. SO what should i do
should i have 2 highflow cats welded on the H or should i just get a whole new midpipe

Do you have inspecitons in your state? If not, easiest thing to do is buy a set of the cheapest cats you can find and take the sales ticket in... Make sure your not driving your car when you go. simple as that.

If you actualy want to get your car "legal" again, get a full midpipe.. welded on cats dont quite sound the same as if it were an already catted mid pipe. more vibration and the tone will change depending on the cat's, know what I mean?

cut out part of your midpipe, buy some cats and use clamps to keep them on, then when you don't want them, clamp the pieces you cut out back on.

Throw on some factory cats, run the car up to show them and go home to put the H pipe back on.. Your done.. If you don't have a set of cats then look for a set at a junk yard.. Don't give in though.. FIGHT THE SYSTEM! Run your H pipe for all to hear!

Or, just pay the ticket.. How much is it, $75? If it was that amount I'd probably just pay it.. Hell, you could probably even just weld on some fake cat shield covers on your H pipe so by looking at it they can't really tell.. Would help to have your car lowered too.. Make it that much harder for them to see as well..

You guys are a expecting way too much from our lovely legal system. When you got to court, nobody will go out and 'inspect' your car. Feel free to drive it to the court house. It will be up to the judge as to what he wants for proof. Usually just a pic will work fine.
An example: in '93 I was pulled over and given a ticket (IL) for no front lisence plate displayed. I left it alone (F them!) and brought a polaroid pic from years prior when I actually had a front plate on (date is not on the front!) the car. I told the judge that I was a poor college senior that couldn't afford the $40 for a new bracket to put the plate on, which is why it was missing, but that I had to recently purchase one and put the plate back on. Judge through it out. The car was in the parking lot with no front plate while I was in court!
I would just take some pics of a friend's undercarraige that is OEM and tell the judge that you didn't know it was against the law, but have taken care of it now.
Good luck,
Troy
