yah......about those 3650's my 04 gt has 17400 miles on it and the 2nd and 3rd snychro's and goin......anytime i shift into 3rd or downshift into 3rd quick it grinds.....and it does it sometimes goin into 2nd if my tires are spinnin comin outta 1st but other than that and the throw out bearning problems.....oh and a squeak in the suspension somewhere in the back......other then all that it's been pretty good lol

 

In my car right by the a/c vents there is this anoying rattle, i just put the music high. also the seatbelts suck, and gas!.


should of got a rice burner!!!!

I havent really noticed the squikage in the interior. It would annoy me though.lol

The only thing I could gripe about is the auto trans.....i wish it was a manual.lol When you manually shift in the auto it waits like 1-1.5 seconds and then it shifts, which gets annoying. But after hearing all this bad stuff about the manual trans, maybe I am good with my trusty ol' auto. All I need is a shift kit and better shift points(courtesy of a predator tune) and I'm set.

 

hey i was reading some of your responces cause im having a ton of probs with my car 1 being my tranny somehting is seriously wrong ...its an auto but its sticking at low rmps going into 3rd gear ...maybe its cause i red lined goin into second and 3rd...yeahh something is VSF<very severly f....d> and for some reason the over drive botton occasionally flashes on my guages ..i saw it one day and im like wtf is that...any 1 have that ?... can some1 explain this "to bearing " im hearing about ... oh yea the seatbelts holy s*** im gunna have an annurism b/c of those pieces of crap ... im getting rid of them my little brother bought me harness' for my birthday but im really worried about the tranny... anyone think it will have to be rebuild or something ...i know jack about trannys but its buggin me out ...help !

 

It's not the 3650 that's the problem guys...it's the cheap plastic synchros ford used in them. I had them replaced under the TSB and the difference was unbeilieveable. The replacements are an upgraded part.

Or now you can get carbon fiber synchros for the 3650 and t-45....friend is putting them in his t-45 he just blew.

also, try some Synchromesh or Royal Purple tranny fluid...huge difference in shifting smoothness.

btw most replaced part so far is my fog lights. I've had the two years and I've replaced each 3 times

 

Squeaks and rattles by far are the most annoying for me.

 

Interior sqeaks and rattles by far... there's so many.
Stones that get thrown up by the front tires (only 265 width) and scratch the sides of my side scoops [:@] I can't complain too much because that's all that is getting scratched.

Stop complaining about the throwout bearing, it's a part that's made to wear out and be replaced anyway.

 

THE T-45[:'(] thats in the 96-01.5. I toasted mine at the track saturday. 3rd and 4th are gone. 4 track outings and 17 runs is all she wrote.
