Are you referring to the programmer that comes in the supecharger kit? If so, I do believe it is a Diablosport tuner with a custom ATI Procharger tune programmed into it.

I dunno. I am pretty sure that if you dont use their tune that comes with the kit you would have to spend a ton of money on a good (I mean good) dyno tune. IMO, if you get the supercharger kit, I would use the Diablosport tuner that comes with it, and sell your superchips tuner for a coule hundred and actually make money, I thinkt he Procharger kit w/o the tuner is only $100 cheaper than w/ the tuner.

do not get a superchips programmer if you get any get an SCT programmer. if you have a procharger and it comes with a programmer the tune is probably good enough just get you to the dyno. If you put on a procharger you will need a dyno tune, a programmer will not do enough.

The supercharger kits come with a tune from the supercharger builder specially made for your vehicle. It reflashes your computer with a safe tune that will also yield good HP. You do not need a dyno tune if you buy a supercharger kit. It may help yield some more HP, but a dyno tune is not necessary.

EDIT: a dyno tune may not be necessary but is a very GOOD idea.

"The included computer programmer communicates with the factory ECU for proper calibration the of the supercharger system. Transmission shift points, line pressures and torque converter strategies are optimized for use with the increase in torque and horsepower." from the following random website: http://www.tbyrne.com/c5/c5supercharger.html. The compaines that manufacture the supercharger do not just send you the kit and say hope you can find someone to tune it. The kits come with a programmer WITH a custom tune specifically designed for he kit you purchased and the car you are putting it on. Have you ever put a supercharger on a car RB? Have you ever purchased a supercharger kit? Because, unless you purchased a tuner kit (which does not include the programmer, fuel injectors, fuel pump) then the kit most likely came with a tuner/programmer if it was a good supercharger.

What do you think they use to tune your car when they do a dyno tune. They are simply adjusting the A/F ratio and timing advance.

+1 You could use the tune that's in the Predator but to be sure you're good it would be wise to put it on the Dyno to have it checked. I've heard of many people checking the tune they get with kits like that running lean. The dyno would probably get you more HP also. Also it would be nearly impossible to drive the car if you change the injectors without changing the tune just to even get it to the dyno. When I put my SC on my car I had DiabloSport write me a tune that would get me close with my 42lb injectors so I could drive it to be tuned. It was so lean that if I would have left it like that my car would have been toaste in a couple months if not sooner. It was also alot less HP than I got from a dyno tune. About 45HP less in fact due to the lean condition. Also with other mods you have on your car there is no way every car could have the same A/F with the same tune. I have a custom tune with an Xcal2 now. SCT tuners would be my choice.

<-- Superchips Programmer
^ With this you can not adjust the A/F Ratio or advance the timing. It has a built in tune that changes everything for you.

<--- Superchips Custom Tuning(SCT) Programmer
^ With this you can actually MAKE a tune and adjust the A/F Ratio or advance the timing manually. You can make a custom tune.

The Superchips programmer and the SCT programmer are completely different.
