haha, you guys are getting owned by your local mechanics. Im getting my install done for $175 I know it says gears already installed in my sig, but they arnt, they were supposed to be, but im getting them done next week.

to install my 4.10s, shift kit and 2500 stall is running me just abit over $800. $800 for a install just on gears is crazy

It cant be that hard if you have the proper tools.

The proper tools cost as much or more than the labor for an installation, but you are correct in saying it's not that hard to do a ring and pinion change...you just have to be meticulous about what you are doing.

i just got my 4.10's put on for 225 at texas hot rods, they are a sponsor on this site. very happy with them.

It cant be that hard if you have the proper tools.
Cause many have done it and had to buy a new ring and pinion next week after it ate itself. The tools to do it properly cost as much as labor and most people dont do enough rear end gear changes to justify it.

I work the parts department at a dodge dealership so I have a few contacts around town. I just called one of my best wholesale customers and he said he could do it for $100-$150 if I buy all of the parts. So when I quit penny pinching and buy the stuff I know where it'll get done at.
