7 or 8 hours for install? Do they have any idea what they are doing?!

It's a 4 hour job working very slow.

I paid $150 for my install.

It cant be that hard if you have the proper tools.
Cause many have done it and had to buy a new ring and pinion next week after it ate itself. The tools to do it properly cost as much as labor and most people dont do enough rear end gear changes to justify it.

but a person like myself that already has all the tools for things like this... wouldnt it make sence to do it yourself?

I was told $240 for my install from a reputable Mustang shop down here in SoCal.

What are all the tools required for things like this, and why do you have them if you haven't ever done a gear change?

well they arent really my tools they are my dads.. he has been a machnic for 20+ years and i havnt done this install b/c i have better things to buy at this point in time then dump it into my car.

ouch.. over 600 bucks for for gears... shoot im looking at buying some gears and doing it myself which would only cost like 250 at max

Duh george!!! but he paid at least 180 for the gears also... so 475 + 180 = 655 total.
