I just wanted to see if anyone has taken off an emblem of the back of your car. I am getting really annoyed with the dealer emblem and I want to take it off...Im just afraid I wouldnt be able to get the digusting mark off that it leaves.....Just wanted to know if anyone has done it before....

Gasoline and a brillo pad... Scrub Hard as hell..








Actually, Search is your friend. There's quite a few threads about how to remove em without any problems, unfortunately I'm too tanked to search for them for you.

how long has the dealer emblem been on there. if it has been on there since 99 there prob will be some difference in paint

yeah I am almost positive it has been on there since 99.....Previous owners did crappy wax jobs on the car so theres wax build up all over my emblems now and for some reason I am really annoyed with it.

in the day time with the sun out... get a hair dryer and get it real hot and get a thin string and pull it down behind the emblem.

yea ^....helps if the string is wet....

then you are going to want to go to the hardware store and get an eraser wheel it attaches to a drill use it to get the sticky stuff off it is the only way to get it off unless you want to sit and pick at it for hours on end

do you think there will be a big difference in paint color? since it has been on since 99...i wonder how much a ford dealer would charge me for taking it off....
