I ran the smaller pulley usually used with the cooler on my car without a cooler. I bet it made close to 12psi since I'm getting 11psi with the cooler. I was told that running more psi without a cooler would not make more HP since they would have to retard the timing. They were right about that. My car only made 345hp with that pulley. I put the cooler on with the IAT senser after the blower and made 60 more hp.

Sex should be like a Honda Civic, slow, obscene, and loud enough for the neighbors to hear.
Sex is like pizza. Even when it's not so good it's great. [8D]

Most people on here will give you misinformation when it comes to blowers, sorry guys but it is true. I run 10PSI on my stock block without a cooler without a problem. Although it isn't a good idea I have also reved my engine to 6500 RPMS were my guage hit 11psi. I have since set the limiter to 6k just for saftey but it is possible.

Setting that rev limiter too low is not a very good idea. If you hit that limit and cut off the fuel your engine goes lean bigtime. I have mine set at 6500 and hit it every now and then by mistake if I shift my auto manually but never want that.
