How does your ride sound with LTs and flowmasters?

I was considering LTs, uncatted X-pipe and dynomax bullets.

I ran a 14.373 first time ever, but I have a couple of mods...was kinda disappointed at myself b/c I couldn't improve the next 5 times after that.

Very awesome. SOunds like sex with o/r h-pipe, LT's and flows. I have heard x-pipe w/ flows and it is definantly not as good.

NO, but x pipe with cats and flows is not that bad with stock manifolds. It's when you get LT's, o/r x pipe and flows where it produces a rattle due to the exhaust resonance in the x pipe. Sorry I don't have a sound clip, everyone keeps asking and I am going to get one when I get around to it, it is really awesome though. The LT's will really, really wake up the sound of your car. And give ya some good power too.

When I did LTs on my Z28 the tuned length of the exhaust essentially shortened and the powerband shifted upwards and smoothed everything out, giving a much broader and flatter torque curve. It will burn the tires at any speed in first gear now. Is that essentially the same result on the 4.6 motor? I'm really really new to 4.6s, so sorry if my questions seem noobish.

You suggest an H pipe over the X pipe then?

yeah, sorry to say i did...only thing is, that was my first time at strip and i was on street tires, I think I can get at least a 14 flat with drags.

and I've seen someone on here have trouble with their xpipe rattling violently, it was mt twigbert I believe. If i ever get LT's I would need to replace the midpipe anyways, so i would just get a shorter O/R H pipe.
