Default Headers

Hey I was looking at either long tubes or shorties for my 4.6. It is an automatic if it matters because I saw some people talking about issues with the clutch in the way. Anyways I was really looking for the long tubes, any suggestions and can anyone tell me how big of a pain in the butt it is to install them or would it just be more worth my while to have them installed. Thanks

Easy answer, Shorties are worthless... Longtubes healp tremendously.... LT's all the way... everyone here will say the same thing... its worth paying extra for them and worth paying someone to install them, they are very difficult to install.

if you can get the May issue of 5.0 mustang and superfords on page 80 there is a great article on long tube headers and new complete exhaust system.

no one makes them for an auto......but if you have a good mechanic he can alter the tranny box a bit to get them to fit. im an auto with longtubes its possibe but a HUGE pain in the @$$. just ask around

I've noticed some companies say that they only fit the manual but like the Mac headers dont say if they fit or not? do you know what they hit on the tranny that needs modified? which headers do u have and how much did it all cost?
