Default 01 GT help with performance parts

Hey guys,
I am new to this forum and I will be buying my friends 01 GT...I am trying to juice it up a little without spending TOO much money for now. The exhaust I think I will buy is the Mac cat back system with the o/r X pipe.. What about intake? Supercharger? I have a friend who is a Ford mechanic who is going to help me install the supercharger, but I don't know which supercharger to go with. He mentioned to me a new supercharger that is a smaller design than most and are easy to install..I don't know which one he is talkin about.. Besides those things, what else is a quick way to gain some power?

Supercharger? Too Much Money?

What exactly is your idea of too much money?

Well, I wouldn't mind putting a couple thousand in it..I just don't want to burry myself too deep. Quite honestly I have no clue how much superchargers normally end up running after being installed and then setting up the car for the supercharger.

A Supercharger is the best bang for the buck, but I don't know what kind of Supercharger you are going to get for only two grand. By the time the S/C is in you won't have any money left for anything else for a while.
If you don't go the S/C way; the exhaust you mentioned, along with pulleys, a change of gears and a good Tuner might please you the most. My understanding is that the intake is one of the last mods to do. A fancy new intake system looks really nice but it provides one of the smallest "gains". I just ordered an X-pipe and Steeda Pulleys. After they are on I will finally change the intake system and get the SCT XCal2.
Have fun.

As rb said, quick and easy. Gears and the Nozzle nitrous system or a Zex nitrous system, both are safe and add some nice HP gains, good luck.

4,500 dollars = out the door methanol to air vortech installation and everything at a performance shop by me
http://www.alternativeauto.com/prods...h-alcohol.html
expect lower gains on the 99-04's though
