Default new track times 98gt auto, 05gt, 93 supra

well, I went to the track on friday for the first time this year. the only thing I have different is I firmed up my shifts and maxed the timing with diablosport predator. I was running 94 octane and sportin my new 17" wheels with bald tires! The best a could pull last year was a 14.8 @ 93mph. The track was castrol raceway in edmonton 3600 feet 30% humidity and about 15 C. (not sure what that is in a farenheit). I'm a little bit disappointed a thought I could at least get a tenth or 2 better but I've heard the track is known for being slow. There were 4 srt-4s and they were all low 14's and a ws6 and 2 other trans-ams and camaros and they were all low 14's! Not one of them broke into the 13's all night. What's the deal? I raced against a 93 supra turbo and a 05 mustang gt and there times look off too. Any opinions would be helpfull!! thank you. p.s. I know that non-pi's are slow so please don't bash. thanks.

yeah those times all look a little slow- especially the 05 and WS6s. I would find a lower track, a cool day and some d/rs and get a 14.4-14.5.

I actually went to the strip today and they closed the place due to unpredictable weather. I was PO'd. It was nice and sunny when I got there too [:@]. Anyway the last time I was there was last September and there was an 05 5 speed in front of me that wasn't able to break into 13's although he said he had done a 13.5 best. My car ran 14.6-14.7 stock with a Diablo Tune and TB/Plenum so I don't think you're far off. From my own experience the Diablo Tune and TB/Plenum ain't worth much though. Next time go when the wind is at your back.
