Default ? for those with shift kit

I have a ? for those of you with a shift kit on your auto and a tuner. have you encountered any problems with the shifting of your car using a shift kit such as the one from transgo and a tuner? Can you have the shift pressure up on your tranny with the tuner and use the shift kit? im having an issue with my car shifting when gunning it from a stop and the tranny shop i had my car at said they called transgo and they were told that you can not increase the tranny line pressure with a tuner because it will cause the car not to shift properly.

i never attempted a tuner to increase line pressure, i did however have a 98 gt heavily modded with the trans go shift kit and never had a problem i put the shift kit in at 32000 miles and the tranny was going strong up to 90000 with no problems and many races. the shift kit is the only way to go with the auto tranny

I had firmed the pressure in my mustang with the hypertech and it really didn't do ****, I had a crown vic police with a stage 2 shift kit and I loved it. I have a stage 2 shift kit for my mustang now but don't have the finances to have it installed.

basically what i need to know is if you used both at the same time would it cause a problem like im having? when i gun the car from a stop the engine revs for a second then the tranny kicks in but there is a lag at first. the tranny shop said its because of the performance tune so i want to know if thats what really could be causing this problem

prolly. there was a specific warning with my tuner about programing the shift firmess if I already had a shift kit.
