my engine makes a weird humming noise every once in awhile. especially when its hot out.

any ideas as to what it could possibly be ?

my engine whines, increases w/ rpms till exhaust drownds it out, weird engine sound, but it has all the power it should, guess i broke her in finally, or broke something.

cooling fan? haha thats very possible actually. try turning your key to the on position but not starting it when you have had it running for a while and the engine is hot. the fan should be on, and if thats the same noise you are hearing when you are driving then its normal

anymore ideas. its not the cooling fan. and its not a whining noise. its a deep sound. almost like a clarinet playing a deep note.
it might just be a midget playing in my engine

u kno mine does that from time to time, it got less when I cleand my IAC.

Mine does also, I really have no clue what it is...but it seems not to effect the engine so oh well.

Is your Air Conditioning on???? It could be your compressor working that is what mine sounds like. Especially if it is really hot like it is in AZ been in the 100's lately

its not my cold air intake because i just got a new one, and its not my a/c because i have never even turned it on

i seriously dont want to take it to the dealership without having a clue.
