You might want to get that checked out... Stock I believe mine idles at 1100.

Before my cam install, mine would idle at 600 too. Now it is at 800 to 900

edit: sounds real nice. peaple told me not to get stage 2's with a blower unless it was the blower cam. how is it? does it really matter if its a n/a cam or a blower cam?

Souns sick man, how noticeable is the car at say a stop light?? Is it only noticeable directly behind the car??

maybe on 1st start up. once it hits operating temperature you should be idling at 600-700

The car simply won't idle at anything lower than 800. At 750 it dies and stumbles back and forth.

I let the car warm up the entire time at idle, so I have to go out and drive it, but I don't think I can even leave it at 800, prolly will have to set up to 850. If you punch it and then let out right away sometimes it hunts and tries to die.

WWmost: Stage 2 n/as are fine so long as you are still running stock shortblock power levels. If I try to go for 500+ i will have to swap out for blower cams. This has to do with building boost and overlap. I want to get a set of custom grinds after I put the shortblock in anyway though

03sonic: Its pretty noticable. It doesn't have the baffled muffler sound, or the old school camd sound (baffled once again) but it is pretty noticable.

Sebski: I have always liked the sound my X made. One difference is I do have longtubes, they changed how the car sounded as much as the X, and the X is a o/r X as well.

i sometimes use the HEC digital tach. it says at operating temperature its idling around 680
