slicks and soem nitrous or alot of weight reduction and alot of hp... normally its suspension that does mot of the work getting the front up... along with traction off the line.

Thanks I was having a conversation with a new co-worker that I am training at work, he says his brother pulled the front wheels a foot off the ground in his 94 gt with 310rwhp(nitrous) and slicks and I told him he didn't. He also said that irs could be as strong as a solid rear end, without $$ being an object and I dissagreed with that too.

An IRS setup can be made strong, but it'll never hold up and last as long as a solid.

I think he might be one of those special people that saw me pull up in a stang and wanted to be my friend and talk about cars/stangs. I think I might train him to do some termination type of things tomorrow. LOL. He probally think manuals are faster than autos in full race trim too.

There was a guy on here somewhere that had pics of his new edge GT doing a wheel stand with minor engine boltons. I think it was like 240rwhp. He had loads of suspension work. Slicks, proper weight transfer, etc.

NICE!!! I would definately like to see that. I call BS on the guy in training, I get those special people too. A guy that works with me said he sold some GT-40p heads to his buddy who has a 4.6 sohc 96 model GT and they bolted right up and gave awesome hp gains.

My dad had a '77 Mustang II with a built 302 and he managed to jerk the wheels off the ground a bit on the street. I know this, because I was in the passenger seat when it happened. I miss that car.

By the way, this happened a long time ago when I was a kid. That was a fun day. The day I fell in love with Mustangs!

it's all about weight transfer.

6,000 hp funny cars don't do it.

but 1,000 rwhp renegade cars do.

and yes, even bolt on Gt's can do it with a good drag suspension, and some light wheels and sticky tires.
