Ive done 146 in 2 am traffic on I-40 in NC :P (while racing an SVT Lightning... which he won... guy has 750 rwhp on a truck!) Last night I was doing 110-120 in 5th... My car still pulls in 5th past 2500 rpms, its nice :P. I never pushed my 4th gear to redline.... but I know my 3rd gear tops at 112mph

dude I got to drive a lightning yesterday. Guy picked it up from the dealer and i had to bring it around the parking lot for him... unfortunately i did not get to open it up. had magnaflow exhaust too, was bada$$

I have noticed that on stock gt's, the front end starts getting light at about 135. That, IMo, is the safe speed cutoff. In a Saleen that all changes. My current 01 starts to get light at about 170. I would feel comfortable diving at 170 for extended periods, but not much higher.

I think I hit 140 once when the car was bone stock, but I wouldn't do it again. the car is definitely not stable above 130 or so. I think some people must be comparing it to a minivan at 120 mph if they think a GT is stable at 130-140.

Yep i posted this before. Went over 150 mph on 470S in denver about a month and a half ago. Totally stable, but it better be for those Illuminas i put in, big wheels and tires. Not sketch at all. Rode like a champ and had ever any stability issues.
