Default anyones front wheels sit farther back?

Hello, I bought this car wrecked and rebuilt it. It was hit in the front, nothing seemed to be dammaged other than the front bumper cover and radiator support. Everything was replaced, the body shop said everything is straight under it and the wheel base is correct. It has BBK springs and caster camber adjustment plates...

any ideas why the front wheels sit farther back like this?

the tires were cut to the left just a bit making the left side look worse, but each side sits equally back just a tad to far

I have learned that the front control arms are not adjustable, only the K member can be moved but only about a quarter inch. I have an 03 cobra bumper cover, i thought it possibly could have a bigger opening than the gt .. maybe.. who knows... Its very annoying and i have considered buying a tubular adjustable K member just to get rid of this..

HMM?????????

The front bumper cover has nothing to do with it because it lines up with the fender correctly.

haha, yeah i have always noticed this too and i think it looks stoopid, it needs to go like an inch and a half forward. why wouldnt you center the wheel in the well? I am sure someone will come up with some technical reason why it is better this way.

Hey! what was teh total cost on your cobra bumper install?

Mine was $346 from ford garage. That did not include the 30 dollar fog light bezels or the 110 dollar lower black plastic chin. Fog lights from ford are outragious, you can get them from blue oval.com for 55 bucks.

I learned this was the cheapest place to buy an 03 cobra bumper kit AfTeR i bought mine.. sad really

the bumper cover wasn't painted... but as I said, I bought the car wrecked so it had to be painted either way, I just wanted somethin a little different. I actually wanted a Saleen bumper but figured it would look funny without anything else..
