Default Spark Plug Holes + Cleaning

Need some help here.

Time to change the plugs, bit when I look down the plug holes there is grime all down them and i am worried about pulling the plugs out and this gunk flalling into the combustion chamber.

Cleaning:
There isn't any chance compressed air will clean this stuff off the Plug Holes so does ANYBODY have any ideas on what to use to clean out the spark plug holes prior to new plug install???

Thanks for the recomendations in advance.

im guessing if you use compressed air you will just blow all the crap into the chamber.

Use an engine degreeser BEFORE you remove the plugs... clean the area up a bit... that should help...

After you got the plug wire out, squirt some varsol into the plug cavity & scrub the goop out with some sort of small stick. Then blast out the varsol with compressed air(?)

If you spray varsol in the holes most of the crud will run to the base on top of the plugs. How am i to get that out?

Just use a cutip with a small amount oil or petroleum jelly to gather up the dirt and grime. Turn it into a paste so it doesn't fall into the cylinder.
