Only difference between the cobra and the mach motors are the forged internals in the cobra motor.
Which cobra motor? The cams, compression ratio, crank (i think) heads (depending on year of cobra) are all different. The mach one has intake cams from the 5.4l engine and is built for more mid range torque. The engines are also kinda underrated at 305/320.

Both motors are 281 CI, ( hence, 4.6L ), the Gt is 2V the Mach is 4V but you really need to do some serious research as there are a lot of differences as stated earlier, complete intake, wiring harnesses, PCM, etc etc. Just about anything can be done but is it really worth it, time wise AND $$$ wise. A 2V with a few bolt ons and maybe a little spray will run great. Good luck.

the mach is basically the N/A cobra with out the IRS, oh and dont forget they switched over to the T-3650 tranny as well, but i would recomend doing a T-56 if you really want to swap it
