Default Transmission Grinding

Need a little help here...

Have a '97 Cobra with 15,000 miles on it when I shift aggressively from 1st to 2nd I get a grinding noise almost as if I didn't get the clutch all the way in but that's not the case ? any ideas on what is wrong ?

see if theres a TSB out for your car. If there is ford will repair it for free otherwise... $300+ probably. My grinded sometimes at 35,000 miles... can you believe that? 35,000 thats like brand new. Thats ford for ya though. POS Tremec.

before freaking about syncro's, put some sycnromesh in the car. My tranny ground 1-2 (t3650) with 27k on it, but now it doesn't. May also be a case of the hand is faster than the foot (ive done that a few times as well), or the syncros. If you drain the fluid and it has metal shavings in it, its def the syncros :P. The shift fork could also be bent, so it's a plethora of things possible :P Start with the least expensive options of fixing them first
